Valentine's Day 2009

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day! I spent the day shopping with Wendy M. in Conway and at the mall - what more could a girl ask for?? :-) Later in the evening, Wally and I joined Meredith & Chris and Kimi & Englis at Myabi's for dinner! We had a great time with everybody (even though I got sick) and can't wait to do it again.

Nursery update: My bedding arrived on Thursday, we picked up our dresser/changer combo on Friday and my parents are bringing the crib down from Columbia on Sunday! Hopefully by Sunday evening, my sweet baby will finally have a room that looks like a nursery!!! Things are coming together nicely and I will post pics of the nursery as soon as the room is presentable.

Baby update: I think I can now start to distinguish between an elbow/fist/foot or the head when she pokes around. Sometimes I feel a knot that is about the size of a large grape (elbow/fist/foot?) and sometimes I feel something about the size of a large orange (head? hiney?). She moves ALL the time - but just for me. The minute someone tries to look at or feel my belly moving she quits. Poor Wally...he's only got to feel her move around only a couple of times for that very reason - although he has seen my belly jiggle quite a few times - you can see that from clear across a room. Everybody says that just means she's stubborn (that's her Daddy's trait, not mine). I think she is just shy!!

29 week, 2 day baby bump!

27 Week Update

Lots of updates! I had my 27/28 week appointment today and everything continues to look great! In good news, (1) I passed my glucose test and (2) I got a prescription for Nexium! I am so happy!!! In other news, my iron is low. I knew it all along!!! My doctor gave me some iron pills - that I am not so happy about. But, hopefully I will get some of my energy back before the little one arrives! Since my due date is quickly approaching, I will start going to the doctor every two weeks now. My next appointment is on Thursday, February 19th.

In fun news - we have our child birthing class this weekend. I totally don't know what to expect and kind of wonder if either Wally or I are going to pass out watching the birthing video. I've seen one before - a VERY long time ago - but things are obviously quite different this time around. Wish us luck!
