Caroline's New BFF

A couple of weeks ago, my Bestest Friend Ever (Kristen) had her first baby girl - Reese Millie Thaxton. Since she lives in Suwanee, GA I was super bummed that I couldn't have been there for her. But, this weekend I was finally able to meet her little Reesie Cup. She is the sweetest, calmest, quietest little one I've ever seen...and her hair sticks straight up! Tee hee!!
Kristen and I grew up together in Columbia...she lived down the street from us in Briarcliffe. We were in the same Kindergarten class at North Springs (yes, it was also put on our permenant record that we were not to be in the same class together again). We've kept in touch over the years and we have grown much closer as we've gotten married, been pregnant & had babies.
My point is....I hope that Caroline and Resse grow up to have as beautiful friendship as Kristen and I have had over the years. And I'll be ok if they get into as much trouble as Kristen and I did, too. That will only mean that they've had fun.
And P.S., Kristen...be on the lookout...Caroline is a biter... LOVE YOU!
Can you see her hair sticking up???

Cutest Cheerleader Ever

Last weekend, Caroline and I went to Columbia to visit my mom & dad. My mom had a cute little surprise for Caroline - her very own Clemson cheerleading uniform!!! Is she not the cutest little cheerleader you've ever seen? She wore it all day and fussed when it was time to take it off. Imagine that - a temper already...I wonder where she gets that from...

Here's my brother, Spence, showing off his new trick. Is he talented or what? (Please excuse the USC accessories...boooooooo!!!)

Timeless Tuesday: Chunky Monkey

I really didn't have a lot of good pictures to choose from to do my Timeless Tuesday post, but I wanted to post this one mainly because it's hard to believe that my little sunshine was once this chunky!! HAHA! Look at those thighs & arms!!!

Now when I look at her, her legs are like bean poles sticking out from her shorts (a trait I USED to have...my sister-in-law Ashley once compared my legs to strings with knots in them for knees).

Children's Museum

Last Saturday (9/4, for my own personal reference!), I took Caroline to the Children's Museum here in Myrtle Beach. I realize she's still a bit young to fully enjoy the museum at it's capacity, but she still had a great time touching everything she could get her hands on. Some things were a bit old for her - like the dentist area and the nutrition area - and there was an area that had baby toys much like what are in her daycare room. We didn't stay too terribly long because her attention span is still very short - and we were zeroing in to lunch time - but we had a wonderful mommy/daughter morning! Wait til you see what she had the MOST fun playing with (last picture below)...

Playing with the giant Lite Brite

The horn on the bus goes BEEP BEEP BEEP!

Isn't she the cutest little boat captain you've ever seen?

They had a little station set up for kids to make their own construction hat - in honor of Labor Day!

And last but not least, Caroline had the most fun playing with all the step stools around the museum! Sorry the pictures are blurry - she's a moving target!!!
