- She can (correctly) identify all the colors in an 8-pack of crayons. And she is 100% obsessed with brown - aka "beee-own-a". And if she's gracious enough to let someone else color with her "beee-own-a" crayon, she will stand patiently until she tells you that you are done.

- She can (correctly) identify: circle, diamond, triangle, square and oval (aka "football"). And her favorite shape is a diamond. Mama's little girl!!!
- Has a remarkable ability to match the right shoes to her outfit. I don't know if it's because she's remembered what shoes I've used in the past or if she's just THAT GOOD...
- Loves to play hide-and-seek. Nothing sweeter than hearing her yell "I FIND YOU!" when you're hiding in plain sight.
- She can count to 13, with a little push past 1-2-3...she will say "one two one two" over and over until you offer to help with "three"
- Has sat on her big girl potty many times with zero success. Unless you count either one of the following - saying "pssssssssss" while sitting on said potty or pee-peeing on the floor NEXT to the potty as she gets off
- She is obsessed with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and can identify all characters, even the ones that don't appear often.
- She loves to sing. Right now, her favorite songs are the ABC's, Twinkle Twinkle and Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes
- She loves to talk. She will repeat everything you say (EEK! Gotta clean up the language!) and is speaking 4 and 5 word sentences now. She does, however, have one particular sentence that she repeats often with so much confidence and intent; but the problem is that Wally and I have no idea what she's saying. ZERO. She will run up to us, say her trademark babble, wait for us to acknowledge and move on with her busy little life.
- She is recently discovered family hugs and kisses. Lots of time, she is not happy until Mommy, Daddy AND Caroline are all three hugging and kissing all at one time. And, yes, people in restaurants will laugh at you, too.

A Tale of Two Band-Aids
Last Saturday, Caroline stubbed her toe pretty badly on the sidewalk. She was not a happy camper about it...but things quickly turned for the worse when we had to put a band-aid on her toe to stop it from bleeding. Oh, the drama. I seriously haven't heard her cry this hard in a LOOOONG time...not even from shots at the doctor. In fact, I remember telling Wally that it's been a while since we've heard THAT kind of cry from her. You know the kind - face beet red, crying so hard that she doesn't make a noise, eyes/nose/mouth runny...
Anyways, I see a drama queen in waiting. She walked all over the house on her heel, crying and screaming "BAAAANNDD-AIIIID TOOOOOOOOOOEEEEEE OFFFFFF!!!!!"
Now, keep in mind, over the course of the day the band-aid fell off and I didn't replace it. I wasn't fighting that battle again. So, let the record state that the band-aid has been gone since Saturday evening.
(And a side note...I also had a band-aid on my finger Saturday because I got a nasty papercut.)
Sunday morning comes around, Caroline wakes up and I get her out of her sleep sack. And like every other morning since she could say the word "toes", as soon as I get her out of her sleep sack, she says "TOES?" and I say "Where are your toes? There they are!" Then, not skipping a beat the conversation went as follows:
Caroline: Band-aid toes?
Me: Do you want a band-aid for your toes?
Caroline: NOOOOO! Mommy band-aid hand?
Me: Yes, Mommy's band-aid is all gone
Caroline: ::sighs as if world's problems are solved:: UP?
We have had the same conversation for 6 mornings in a row now. How long do you think they will continue?

My Resolutions
I thought that if I documented my New Year's resolutions, maybe I'll finally succeed. I'll add to this list as I see fit.
Loose weight. BAAAAHHAHAHAH! I'm so funny.
Spend more quality time with Wally. I get so consumed with wanting to do anything and everything with Caroline that I feel that our "dinner & movie dates" have suffered.
Save money. Or win the lottery.
Do better with my faith.
Be a nicer and more patient person.
Wally got me an awesome weekly planner in my stocking and I am going to set mini-goals each week. Like this week's goals are to take the Christmas stuff down, iron and clean the house. I also need to clean out the guest bedroom...but that's for another week. I've got too many goals this week already. HHAHHHAH!

Things I've Seen...
I haven't gotten around to blogging about Christmas yet. But, I did want to document the funny (and interesting) things I've witnessed this weekend. We've had a lazy weekend and Caroline has been the sweetest and funniest little thing. I wish I could carry around a video camera all day and let y'all see how much fun she is right now. But, it seems that she clams up the minute I put the video on her, even at times when I KNOW she doesn't know I'm recording her.
- Today at lunch, Wally had to fuss at her for being so squirmy. No joke, she gave her daddy this "What? I'm not scared of you." look. I had tears running down my face because I thought it was so funny.
- Caroline can sing "Happy Birthday" and her ABC's and I didn't even know it. She's been singing up a storm this weekend and kept repeating this one song in particular that I couldn't identify. Once I started signing "Happy Birthday"on the off-chance that that's what it was, she grinned so big and said "YES!"
- Her daddy accidentally popped a Silly Band on her wrist while we were laying on the floor playing and Caroline stood up, walked over to Wally, spanked him on his hiney and said "No ma'am Daddy!"
- She's become a mini-mommy to her Bitty Baby ("Rosie"). I've always known she was very nurturing, but something clicked this weekend. All she wants to do is feed her baby in the high chair and put the baby to bed with the baby doll blanket.
- Her boyfriends (the Martin boys) gave her a 8-piece shapes puzzle for Christmas. She can get all the pieces in the right spot and says over and over: "I don't know diamond goes". I didn't even know she knew what diamond was!!!
