Things I've Seen...

I haven't gotten around to blogging about Christmas yet. But, I did want to document the funny (and interesting) things I've witnessed this weekend. We've had a lazy weekend and Caroline has been the sweetest and funniest little thing. I wish I could carry around a video camera all day and let y'all see how much fun she is right now. But, it seems that she clams up the minute I put the video on her, even at times when I KNOW she doesn't know I'm recording her.

  1. Today at lunch, Wally had to fuss at her for being so squirmy. No joke, she gave her daddy this "What? I'm not scared of you." look. I had tears running down my face because I thought it was so funny.
  2. Caroline can sing "Happy Birthday" and her ABC's and I didn't even know it. She's been singing up a storm this weekend and kept repeating this one song in particular that I couldn't identify. Once I started signing "Happy Birthday"on the off-chance that that's what it was, she grinned so big and said "YES!"
  3. Her daddy accidentally popped a Silly Band on her wrist while we were laying on the floor playing and Caroline stood up, walked over to Wally, spanked him on his hiney and said "No ma'am Daddy!"
  4. She's become a mini-mommy to her Bitty Baby ("Rosie"). I've always known she was very nurturing, but something clicked this weekend. All she wants to do is feed her baby in the high chair and put the baby to bed with the baby doll blanket.
  5. Her boyfriends (the Martin boys) gave her a 8-piece shapes puzzle for Christmas. She can get all the pieces in the right spot and says over and over: "I don't know diamond goes". I didn't even know she knew what diamond was!!!
