Watch Out!

We have a crawler!!! Our little monkey is fast, too!! She's been "mobile" for a couple of weeks now - and by "mobile" I mean she could get to Point A to Point B on her own. Well, she has finally mastered the real deal! I guess nothing is safe now. Time to pull out the plug protectors, attach the cabinet locks (Wally is going to LOVE this...) and give the house a once-over for things at her eye level. Wish us luck!!!

7 Months Old!

Ok, I really don't want to talk about it. I will cry. I have cried. I'll say it once, but not again...my sweet little girl is 7 months old. There is nothing baby about her anymore (well, kinda) and she does something new everyday that makes me fall in love with her all over again. People weren't lying when they say that time passes by super fast when you have children.

Milestones:

• Caroline is an "independent sitter"
• Can go from laying on her tummy to sitting up by herself (she did this today for the first time!)
• Eating Stage 2 foods - still liking everything we've tried (mixed vegetables, garden vegetables, mangos, pear pineapple, apples & cherries, sweet potatoes & corn, squash & corn just to name a few)
• Teething? Who knows...all of her counterparts have teeth now...maybe she'll be bald AND toothless until she's one

Likes:

• Playing on the floor with her Fisher Price fishbowl & fish
• Talking to herself in the mornings...this seems to be when she is most talkative
• Bathtime
• Food
• Putting anything and everything in her mouth
• Lotion after bathtime

Dislikes:

• Still doesn't like having her face wiped clean
• Waiting on her food to be ready

I find it very hard to think of things she doesn't like.

On a side note, we're trying to stay healthy in our house. Caroline had her first bout of pink eye this weekend. We were in Columbia and my pediatrician was kind enough to call in some eye drops to a pharmacy at home. Then, I woke up on Sunday with a terribly sore throat...all the while thinking all this was related somehow. Turns out, I just have a seriously awful sinus infection. At any rate, with this being the peak of cold & flu season, we are washing our hands obsessively, using hand sanitizer ALL the time and staying out of each others faces - our first line of defense.

Look at my sweet little bunny! We decided to find Caroline a bunny costume this year since she was born the Saturday before Easter. I think she was the prettiest bunny I've ever seen! We didn't go Trick-Or-Treating - mainly because I had to wake her up from her nap at 7 PM! - but we did ride over to see her Granny and then over to see her new cousin Collier. Caroline was so good - she didn't even mess with the bunny hat/ears all night!

Maybe he was blocking out all the noise?

She was worn out by the end of the night!

Houdini

Caroline, aka Houdini, has a new trick. I usually sit her in her Bumbo seat on my bed while I fold laundry. Well, I left the room for a second and this is what I come back to see. Not only has she gotten OUT of the Bumbo seat, she was turned around and all bowed up in front of it as if to pick a fight. I guess Caroline won.

Halloween Fashion Show
