Two Months Old & Back to Work

My sweet baby girl is 2 months old today! She is growing like a little weed and changing every day. She had her 2 month check up yesterday and all is well. She weighs 9 lbs 10 oz., is 22 inches long and her head is 14.5 inches around - she is in the 25th percentile in all three measurements. As her pediatrician said "She is going to be small people!"

She also got her shots at this appointment, too; she did SO GOOD! She cried a little with the shots, but no more than when she's really hungry. And she had some MAN SIZED gags when it was time for the oral vaccination. You would have thought her Daddy was in the room! She ended up being a little irritable before it was time to go to bed...but nothing a little Tylenol couldn't cure! And even better - she slept from 10:00 PM to 4:15 AM! That's the longest EVER!!! I'm sure it was because of the Tylenol, but we'll see if we can do it again tonight!

I think I found a new favorite toy while at the doctors office...PAPER! She LOVED laying on the bed that was covered in paper. LOVED IT! She played and was so content from the minute we stripped her down and laid her on the paper. All these nice toys we have at the house and she gets more excited about laying on paper. Hmmm.....? Maybe I can steal a newspaper endroll from work to take home...

Before the shots...Poor thing didn't know what was coming...

Here's a video I took on my phone of her playing on the paper - excuse my silly voice...

In other big news, I went back to work this past Monday. WHaaaaa!!! It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I cried a little when I dropped her off and haven't cried since. However, I have left work early for 3 days in a row, too. I can't wait to get my hands on her in the afternoons. In fact, I get butterflies in my stomach when I'm close to the daycare - butterflies similar to the ones I would get when Wally and I first started dating. I miss her terribly during the day, but she seems to be doing so well. She is, by far, the prettiest baby in the room. She is also the smallest, the baldest and the best dressed, too. Here are a couple of pictures on her first day of school!

I love those cheeks!!!!!

She IS so beautiful! Thank you for sharing pics! I can't believe it's been 10 years now since we met at orientation and drank beer by the presidents house! And now we have kids! How crazy is that. We wish you and your beautiful family all the best.
