I'm Baaaaack

I’m a bad mommy. There…I said it. Before Caroline was born, I told myself that blogging would be the best way to keep family and friends updated throughout the pregnancy and Caroline’s life after she was born. I blogged all the time when I was pregnant! And look at me now. I haven’t blogged since the end of July when she rolled over for the first time. So much has happened since then, too!!!

I PROMISE to keep everybody updated more often. Why shouldn’t I? All my friends can do it…why can’t I???

Caroline is such a wonderful little baby. She rarely fusses, usually only if her gums are giving her a hard time or if she’s realized she has a stinky diaper on. Other than that, she is a very sweet, VERY happy little baby. She wakes up smiling and goes to sleep smiling – seriously, she smiles in her sleep, too! Oh, and she is getting louder and louder by the day…I have NO idea where she got that from.

Here’s what Miss Priss is up to these days:

Milestones:

  • At her 4 month check up, she weighed 12 lbs., 11 oz (25%) and was 23 inches long (10%); we go back to the doctor on October 19th for her 6 month check-up
  • She is teething, but nothing has popped through yet – you can see them under the gums, though and some days are worse than others; her hands are always in her mouth and she drools all the time
  • She is eating cereal, sweet potatoes, peas (not her favorite), carrots (her favorite) and green beans; next week we try squash before we start on fruit
  • She rolls over EVERYWHERE and can sit up unsupported for a very short time – we are working hard on this
  • She can hold her own bottle now and has been doing this for a while – I have to give kudos to Daddy for this. He has been teaching her how to do this since she was about 2 months old…I guess hard work does pay off!
