- I had great success last time I did it - I was doing WW when I got pregnant with Anna. I like to think it helped me get pregnant. We tried for almost 6 months and I wondered if my weight had anything to do with it.
- I had an amazing support system. Meredith and I did WW together last time and we kept each other on our toes. It's unbelievable how much of a kick in the butt peer pressure can be. Plus, we were always bouncing meal ideas off of each other. And, luckily enough, she's going to be my WW buddy again!
- I'm a math nerd. So sue me. :-) No, seriously, I like the thrill of figuring out how many points I have left for the day...If I eat this & this, then I can eat that later...
- Screw bathing suit season...JEAN season is coming up! Ha! Aside from the fact that I'm an indoor girl, not an outdoor girl, I think it's just as important to look good in winter jeans as it is to look in a bathing suit!
(I eventually forgave him for the "You know when you quit pumping, you're going to have to start watching what you eat." comment. I know he didn't meant it the way it came out. But, I was hormonal and was having fun eating everything in sight. AND loosing weight at the same time.)
But, things have been different with Anna. The weight did drop off initially very quickly. However, I've nursed/pumped the same amount of time with Anna as I did with Caroline and I've gained back at least 15 lbs. Yes, I've been eating everything in sight. But, I was naive enough to think I'd loose the weight as well as I did after Caroline. My bad!
I'm sticking to what I know and am doing the old system instead of the Points Plus method. I've still got all my old paperwork & point calculator. I'm not paying to join online or a weekly meeting. Just going to do the same thing I did last time. If it's not broke, don't fix it! Except I am broke, so I am fixing it.
One thing that will be different...Wally's doing it with me! I guess it's bad when your husband is ready to loose the baby weight, too. I am already jealous, though, that he gets 45 points and I only get 20. Boo.
So, here's to another good effort. I've brought my food journal to work along with my Kellogg's cracker chips, Lean Cuisine, Fiber One brownie and water mix-ins. Wish me luck!
