If anybody knows me, then you know I'm a planner. I plan my meals, my outfits, Caroline's outfits, the quickest route to a destination... But, Saturday night I got got bug to be spontaneous...on Sunday. I decided that the three of us should go to Columbia on Sunday morning to surprise Mom & Dad for the day/night!! (BTW - that left me PLENTY of time to plan meals & outfits...HAHA!) Anyways, we got up very early on Sunday and made our way to Columbia. Mom & Dad were SO thrilled - and surprised! - that we came up there!!!
We had a BUSY 24 hours up there! First we went to an early lunch at Cracker Barrel. This is Caroline playing on the rocking chairs at the front of the restaurant. She LOVES to rock!
And she has a new trick - she can show you she is ONE year old!!!
After lunch, we came home & napped (well, the baby & men napped...) and then headed over to Harbison! Our first stop was Columbiana Mall to ride the carousel. Once again, she was not a fan. She started off on the horse, then Daddy holding her, then Daddy on the horse holding Caroline, then ended up just sitting on the stationary bench. Oh well - maybe one day....
Muwha! Blowing kisses!!!
I'm pretty sure she was doing the Isty Bitsy Spider here.
After Columbiana Mall, we went to Babies R Us to pick up a few things. And then we went to Hudson's BBQ for the obligatory 4th of July BBQ meal (which was DELICIOUS! I miss Hudson's!)

Mom got Caroline a baby stroller - which, in fact, she will NOT allow a baby to sit in here except for herself. Oh, and she'd prefer to push it around on the back two wheels.
We had a wonderful time up there. I miss my family & Columbia a lot, but Myrtle Beach is my home now. I'm ashamed to admit that it took me having Caroline to realize that.
I hope everybody had a HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!
