Fun Weekend!

What a fun weekend! The Smathers were in town this weekend visiting their family and were kind enough to ask us to join them at the beach & dinner on Friday! The girls had a great time playing - Caroline enjoyed herself at the beach more so that I ever would have thought. She's not one to get her hands and feet dirty. So, it was a battle at first, but then she got used to it.

Don't tell anybody, but I kinda enjoyed myself at the beach, too. There were enough adults around that the girls were occupied with them, building pools and castles, that I was able to relax for a minute or two.

I'm hoping that next year, Kristen & Reese will be able to come down the same week during the summer. Brooke and I agreed that that was the only thing missing from our fun weekend.

Caroline is starting to finally look at the camera and smile rather than just smiling doing whatever she's doing.

Side note: doesn't her hair look yellow? Some days it looks white blonde, some days it's more blonde blonde and other days it's a yellow blonde color!

Sadie walked in the house and immediately went straight for the baby doll! I think she had a doll radar!! PS - notice they're in matching dresses! (Yes, we did that on purpose.)

I'm sad that my camera battery died in between dinner and ice cream. We would have gotten some cute pictures with the girls eating their strawberry ice cream with sprinkles on top.
