Back in October, we packed up the girls and went to Columbia for the weekend to go to the fair! Anna got to stay with Grandmama & Granddandy and was able to get their undivided attention for a few hours. That doesn't happen too often! We ended up meeting Wendy, John Wendell & Tanner there and spent the day watching the kids have fun on ride, after ride, after ride. Ok, so maybe I got to enjoy a ride or two, too.
I was nervous that Caroline would be to skittish to ride some of the rides, but she rode EVERYTHING!! Well, everything that she was tall enough for, that is. It helped that Tanner was there, too. She looks up to him so much and will do anything he does, too!
Funny thing - we used to go to the fair in high school as a big group of friends. I would ride anything and everything. Teacups, Spaceship 2000, upside down rides, sling shots, you name it - I'd ride it. But, as I've gotten older, I've become a little chicken I suppose. Maybe kids do that to you? Anyways, as we were walking by all the *fun* rides, I could feel my heart start to race a little. Ok, a lot. I don't think there's enough money in the world to get me to ride on rides like that anymore! Why is that???
First up - teacups!! She didn't want them to go too terribly fast, but still had a great time.
Then the little kiddie swings - my favorite is the big person swig!!
This was about the best I got on the motorcycle. All of a sudden, Caroline didn't want her picture taken. Diva!

Caroline even got on a few roller coasters at the fair! I was shocked. She was kinda nervous at first, but warmed up eventually.
My favorite ride E.V.E.R. Tanner and I rode this together and I just laughed the whole time because Tanner was laughing the whole time. Best part of the fair, by far. Oh, that and the fresh squeezed lemonade. And the food.
We saved the best for last. The huuuuuuuge slide! Caroline LOOOOOVED it. That girl did not want to leave the fair at all. And I can't blame her. Except we were all tired from walking and were tired. Ha!
